Tea Party DSP scrapbook page

Here is another of the scrapbook layouts that we did for National Scrapbooking Month. We used the Tea Party Designer Series Paper, the Sweet Stems stamp set, and the 5 petal flower punch. The Tea Party DSP is my favorite and it will still be available in the new catalog.

Tomorrow is your LAST CHANCE to order anything that is getting retired. The new catalog starts on Wednesday!

Clear Envelope Mini Album--Take 2 (with In Colors)

This is the same kind of mini album that I described in my last post. The only difference is the colors--I just had to try it out with three of the new In Colors (Mambo Melon, Crushed Curry, and Bermuda Bay). I just LOVE the new colors!!! I'm amazed how changing the colors around really changes the look of things.

Saturday I got together with some of my fellow demonstrators and I showed them how to make this book. When I was done with my 5 minute demo, they all said they wanted one as a sample. Luckily I had enough supplies and I had some stamping time while we were together, so instead of working on swaps for convention, I made 5 more of these books for the ladies. I hope they enjoy them!

Clear Envelope Mini Album

This is a mini scrapbook album that I made last month. I used Stampin' Up!'s clear envelopes ($4.95 for 50--a bargain!) to make the pages inside. I LOVE the Cheep Talk stamp set and especially the "you've got a friend in me" saying that comes in it. That saying just gets me singing--how about you? Anyway, I've used So Saffron, Regal Rose, and Certainly Celery ink and card stock. The So Saffron cardstock was run through my big shot with the texture plates to give it the diamond embossed background (might be hard to see in the picture, but trust me it adds a lot). The squares were punched with the 1-1/4" and scallop square punches. If you have questions on how to put this together, contact me. I'll likely be doing this in a class or club event coming up soon so you can make one of your very own!

Beach Fun Scrapbook layout

In May we celebrate National Scrapbooking Month. One of the ways I celebrate is by holding a National Scrapbooking Month workshop for my customers. This is one of the layouts that we made this year. I used the Big Deal Alphabet and the Just Beachy stamp set that is in the mini catalog that ends next week. I also used one of the retiring In-Colors, Baja Breeze, so if you want it you have 6 days left to order it!!! The patterned paper along the bottom is from the Walk in the Park set that is also in the mini catalog and then I used the scallop edge punch along the cardstock to give it the edge.

Make a Wish

Yum! More cupcakes!!! This was the fourth card that we did at last week's stamp-a-stack. The stamps are from the Big Bold Birthday set that is retiring. This is one of my very favorite birthday sets ever! Get yours now before it is gone forever. We used the Whimsy jumbo wheel for the background. The colors are Regal Rose, Certainly Celery, and Brocade Blue.

Celebrate Stars

Here is the third Stamp-a-stack card. We used the star jumbo wheel, the Celebrate Everything stamp set, and the Independence Day stamp set (which will be retired this month). The cardstock is real red and brocade blue, ink is real red and night of navy. I cut 1 inch off the bottom of the front of the card so that the Pacific Point designer series paper (3/4" strip) and the real read (1/2" strip) would show through. We raised the star with a stampin' dimensional after cutting it out.

Wild About You

This is the second card that we made at Thursday's stamp-a-stack. I just love the Wild About You stamp set. I used Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Going Gray, and Basic Gray on this card. I also used the oval punch, scallop oval punch, and scallop edge punch. The "wild about you!" is mounted up with Stampin' Dimensionals. Another easy card, but fun!

Happy Spots

This is the first of four cards that we made at the June Stamp-a-Stack. Each year we have a stamp-a-stack that features sets that are getting retired. The Seeing Spots stamp set that was used on this card will no longer be available after June 30th--so get it now! You can go to my website at shaunacundick.stampinup.net and click "shop now" to order. I also used the Happy Everything stamp set and it is not getting retired. I used Pink Passion, Lovely Lilac, Yoyo Yellow, Green Galore, and Only Orange Ink. This card is super simple, but I like the fresh, clean look.

SCUBA Father's Day

Here is a card that I made for my Father-In-Law for Father's Day. My husband wants him to get SCUBA certified so they can dive together, so we included some money to go towards the lessons. I know this is more of a snorkel stamp, but they still use the mask and snorkel for diving, and it was the closest I had--so we made it work.

I used the new Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay In Colors. The Happy Father's Day stamp is from the new Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and the snorkel is from the retired Some Like It Hot stamp set. I used the new modern label punch along with the word window. The bermuda bay snorkel that is closest to the greeting is cut out and raised with a couple of stampin' dimensionals.

Manhattan Flowers

Here's another card that we did at my Card Buffet in April. Sorry that this isn't another sneak peek of new stuff--I haven't had a chance to stamp more yet.

This card uses the curvy verses set and the Manhattan Flowers. I used Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, and Kiwi Kiss ink and card stock. If you like these colors, get them now because they will be retiring this month!!! And, if you miss out, don't worry--the new In Colors are AWESOME too!!!

I love cupcakes!

Yum! I love cupcakes. I don't need those fancy store bought ones, I actually prefer homemade cupcakes made with a Betty Crocker cake mix. I can eat way more than I should. I remember growing up my sweet grandma (who turns 97 tomorrow) would bring cupcakes to Sunday dinner. They were white cupcakes with a thin white frosting and colored sprinkles on top. Mmmmm.

This cupcake stamp is from the Wagon Full of Fun stamp set that is in the Occasions Mini Catalog and will be in the 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog. I used Stampin' Pastels to color it and then added a scrap of pattern paper and some ribbon to the card. We made these cards at my Card Buffet class that I held in April.

Bermuda Circles

Here's another card with the new Circle Circus stamp set and new In Colors. These colors remind me of warm days in the Caribbean--is it time to cruise again yet? I use Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry along with Creamy Caramel. The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and is punched out with the modern label punch.

Owl Friends

Here is another card that uses the Animal Stories stamp set. I combined it with the Cheep Talk set because I thought the branch and flowers would be perfect for the owls to sit on. The flowered paper is from the new Tall Tales Designer Series Paper. I used Old Olive, Mambo Melon (my new favorite), and Brilliant Blue. I just LOVE the new polka dot ribbon! The friend to friend greeting comes from the new Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and is punched out with the modern label punch.

Melon Curry Circles

I just opened some of my new "sneak peek" Stampin' Up! goodies. I LOVE the new 2009-2010 In Colors. Featured here are Mambo Melon, Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay, and Crushed Curry. SU! came out with matching polka dot ribbon in all 6 In Colors!!! I've used the new Circle Circus stamp set along with the new Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp set. I've also used the scallop edge punch and the new modern label punch (made a window in the front--the greeting is actually mounted inside the card.

Elephant Animal Stories

Yippee!!! My sneak peek items came today, so I stayed up late to make a card. I used the new Animal Stories stamp set and matching designer series paper. I also used a couple of the new In Colors--Soft Suede ink and cardstock, and Crushed Curry ribbon. Don't you just love those polka dots on the ribbon? It comes in all 6 of the new In Colors--beginning July 1st! The card also features the Top Note die from my Big Shot. This card is kind of different for me as far as colors go, but it is good to venture out of my comfort zone. I think these colors help make it more masculine.

New Catalog is coming

The new Stampin' Up! catalog is coming! I hope to have my copy early next week. I am so excited to look at the new product offerings and make my wish list. I will get boxes of catalogs later this month, so if you want one, let me know. July 1st is when we can order from the new catalog.

As a demonstrator, I get to place a sneak peek order, which I did on Monday. My new goodies will come early next week as well, so watch this blog for some fun things (new stamps, in-colors, etc).

If you join my stamp club (spend $25 a month for 6 months) you'll get a FREE catalog in addition to hostess benefits one of those months. I also offer my stamp club members a FREE class and there may be other surprises as well. I have 3 spots left for club members, so let me know soon! Or, you can host a workshop in your home to get a free catalog. Otherwise, you can get one for $5 if you let me know this month that you want one. Regular price is $9.95.
